Meeting Update 02/25/2013 - Eddie

The past couple of weeks have been completely devoted to fixing non-equilibrium cooling, 1D radiative shocks, and 2.5D pulsed jets.

Jonathan has done an awesome job of breaking down the DM cooling curve into its components. Now we can more accurately use equilibrium values to reproduce the DM curve, or we can use non-equilibrium values to get a more dynamic cooling curve due to ionization/recombination effects. In comparing with models done by Pat and his student Anna, it has become evident that our cooling routines probably have different physics. Or at the very least we are not putting the same importance or weight on various cooling processes. A closer look at the code that Pat is using will tell us more in the near future.

I was able to reproduce the pulsed jet simulations done by de Colle & Raga. The similarities in the plots look very good ehansen02212013. The emission maps need a little more work.
