Meeting

This week is really hectic with my stat mech midterm and other homework assignments. I am running the Bannerjee set up now though, but will likely not be able to post plots until after my exam on Friday..

Run is located at:

/alfalfadata/erica/PROJECTS/BE_stability/12FEB2012/Bannerjee_stuff

Params:

  • R = 1.62 PC
  • Rho_central = 3.35*10(-21) (g/cc)
  • Xi = 6.5
  • Box size = (25 pc)3
  • Collapse initiated by reducing thermal energy of clump in problem.f90
  • Close or exact matches of Bannerjee's reported params (Rho_c, R, Xi, isothermal sound speed, Mass clump), except my Temp seems to be 2times greater than Bannerjee's — 40K instead of 20K. Have a hunch it may do with the fact that I am using a Xmu = 2.. Should this be something to rectify before comparing results?

Eh, I went and changed the Xmu=1 instead of 2 and indeed all is good.
