Meeting Update 09/03/2013 Zhuo

  1. Updated mypage
  2. Read chapter 13 and 14 in Toro's book. They make sense to me in general, but the detail, reason, motivation is not clearly understood. Anyway, I know how to implement MUSCL-Hancock Scheme and will write its program to solve Euler equations this week. My interest in these two chapters is about the functional analysis in deriving Total Variation Diminishing (TVD) theorems, in overcoming Gibbs phenomenon (happens in the presence of high gradient of data), in devising specific schemes. Still, I also hope that Fourier analysis and Spectral theory can be implemented in Riemann solver sufficiently.
