3D Cooling Jets

Using a Refinement Object

This section shows how I was able to limit the refinement using a refinement object which travels with the head of the jet. This simulation was back when I was still doing the full 3D grid. I have since simplified the problem by taking advantage of some symmetries. Current set ups simulate a quarter of the grid, and can be run in both 2D and 2.5D (cylindrical coordinates).
